A day at the grooming shop is not a traumatic event for your pet. They are getting plenty of attention and TLC. You could compare your pet’s experience to your attending a spa.
We groom a number of pets per day and though we could take one pet at a time through the grooming process, we can neither efficiently nor economically operate in this manner.
The following will give you an idea of your pet’s day at the salon.

 Step 1 - The Ruff-In -

All pets are prepared for their bath. Clipping is done by removing any excess body hair. Remaining hair is completely detangled with gentle brushing followed by a fine toothcomb. The nails are trimmed and filed; ears are cleaned at this time.
If dematting is required in order to keep a longer style, this can be time consuming and considered an extra service, thus fees apply.
If it is determined by the groomer that your pet is too matted, she will shave in the longest length possible. Do keep in mind that the blades will not cut through the matt’s they go underneath the matt, so if your dog is matted to the skin they will be very short.

Step 2
- Bathing -

Pets are bathed twice (more if necessary) in a shampoo best suited for your pets coat type and thoroughly rinsed. We use spa quality shampoo along with a blueberry facial scrub. Cotton balls are put inside the ears to prevent water from getting in the ear canal. Teeth are brushed at this time if requested. Anal glands are cleaned at this time upon request. If you’re pet is found with fleas, they will be washed in an organic flea shampoo so as not to infest others. There is a $4.00 fee for this.

Step3 - Drying -

Before drying, we apply a coat conditioning spray.Your pet will be hand fluff dried”. (No cage drying) This is done using a Dri eaz force dryer. This blows excess moisture from the coat And fluffs up the coat for the finish work.

Step 4 - The Finish –

Bodywork is done using clippers to the length desired then legs& face are scissor finished.
While your pet is being finished early arrivals can excite them and make it difficult to finish. Safety and quality are also compromised. Your
pet’s finish work is done in order of pickup time, not drop off time Cologne, bows, and bandanas are applied for a final touch.
