Q: How often should my pet get groomed?
A: We recommend 4-6 week appointments. This keeps pets in good coat and they become better acquainted with the grooming experience and makes for a happier visit. We do have several clients that come weekly or bi-weekly for just a bath and tidy to keep them looking and smelling there best all the time.
Q: Do groomers get tips?
A: Yes. A gratuity is much appreciated. We consider ourselves as pet stylists'
Q: Will my pet get fleas or sick while he/she is there?
A: It can happen, although very rare. We go to great lengths to prevent such things. We highly encourage all pets be current on there vaccinations we clean and disinfect all tools, cages, and surfaces between each pet. We also flea bomb the shop twice a month and have play yard professionally sprayed monthly
Q: Will my pet get nicked or clipper burned?
A: This is a VERY RARE occurence. Keep in mind that we are working with very sharp instruments and sometimes a very wiggly pet. Another reason why we recommend regular grooming appointments keeping your pet brushed and groomed regularly minimizes the risks. We also keep our equipment in good working order. We will inform you if something happens so you may follow up at home.
Q: Do you do Anal Glands and what are they?
A: Yes. By request (external only, you will need to see your vet if an internal expression is needed)
Anal Glands are glands on either side of the rectum that fill with fluid. When a dog goes to the bathroom these glands should express themselves (This is a territory marking thing) many dogs, especially larger breeds can excrete their own glands themselves while others need it done for them. This fluid can become infected or impacted if not released. You may see your dog chew at his backend or doing the butt scoot. This is usually a sign that they may need to be done
Q: Can I stay and watch?
A: We do not recommend that you stay with your pet while they are being groomed. Your pet needs to bond with us and feel comfortable being left with us. If you are present your pet will want nothing more then to get away from us and get to you.
Q: What is blueberry facial?
A: It is an all Natural Spa line product. Mild, foaming facial cleaner exfoliates, soothes and hydrates.
